Two Willi-Food Petit Beurre biscuit products have been recalled after testing detected sesame that was not declared in the allergen information printed on the packaging.
G. Willi-Food International Ltd., the Israeli importer, issued the recall in coordination with the Central District Food Service of Israel’s Ministry of Health.
The recall followed a complaint from a member of the public. According to the official notice, the importer sampled the product and found the presence of sesame—an allergen that was not listed in the product’s allergen information.

The recall applies specifically to packages matching the listed size, barcode, expiry date and production code.
Warning for people with allergies
Consumers with an allergy to sesame should not consume the affected biscuits.
The Ministry of Health also advised consumers who are allergic to any of the additional allergens already listed on the packaging not to consume the recalled products.
Sesame exposure can cause a potentially serious allergic reaction in people with a sesame allergy.

Production or lot code
Consumers whose packages match the recall details should avoid eating the biscuits if they have a sesame allergy and contact Willi-Food for further guidance.
The importer is removing the affected products from stores and distribution channels in coordination with the Ministry of Health.
