Conditions will be hotter and drier than usual for the season in the mountains and inland areas. Along the coastal plain—including Nahariya, Acre and Haifa—the weather will remain humid.
Some of the highest temperatures forecast nationwide include 42°C at Ein Gedi, 41°C in Tiberias and Eilat, and 39°C in Kiryat Shmona.
Mediterranean Sea conditions
Winds over the Mediterranean are forecast to blow from the north to northwest at approximately 15–35 km/h.
The sea is expected to be wavy to moderately rough, with waves reaching approximately 60–140 centimetres.
Anyone visiting local beaches should swim only where lifeguards are present, pay attention to the warning flags and follow lifeguard instructions.
Staying safe in the heat
Residents are advised to drink water regularly, limit strenuous outdoor activity during the hottest part of the day and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
Extra attention should be given to older residents, young children and people with existing health conditions. Children or animals should never be left unattended inside a parked vehicle, even for a short time.
