Rail passengers travelling between Nahariya, Acre and Haifa should prepare for significant service changes on Thursday, 20 August, Friday, 21 August, and after Shabbat on Saturday evening, 22 August.
Israel Railways announced that several northern stations will close temporarily while essential track infrastructure and safety works are carried out in the Zvulun area, north of Haifa.
Free replacement shuttles will operate during the disruption, while regular public bus services are also expected to be increased.
Normal train services are scheduled to resume at 4:00 a.m. (04:00) on Sunday, 23 August.
Changes affecting Nahariya passengers
Trains on the Modi’in Center–Nahariya line, including night trains, will operate only between Modi’in Center and Haifa Center HaShmona.
Passengers travelling north of Haifa will therefore need to use replacement transportation for the remainder of their journey.
Services from Be’er Sheva Center to Nahariya and Karmiel will also terminate at Haifa Center HaShmona.

Replacement transportation
Israel Railways will operate free replacement shuttles for affected passengers. Regular bus services in the region are also expected to be reinforced.
Exact shuttle departure times and routes should be checked closer to the travel date, as they may differ according to the day and service period.
Passengers should allow additional travel time, particularly when travelling to Haifa, Tel Aviv, Ben Gurion Airport or destinations farther south.
When will normal service resume?
Rail traffic is expected to return to its normal schedule at 4:00 a.m. (04:00) on Sunday, 23 August.
